Hemlock Bridge Replacement Project

Location: Cowlitz County, Washington
Client: Confidential Pulp and Paper Manufacturer
Contract Value: $106,900

The Hemlock Bridge Project involved demolishing an existing wooden bridge structure and installing a new 60 foot concrete bridge deck. Prior to any work being completed, AEC installed erosion and sediment control measure to protect the stream, streambeds, and stream banks. After the old wood bridge was disassembled and all debris and salvage material was hauled offsite, the work area was cleared and graded and AEC prepared the site for pile driving and substructure installation including setting cast in place concrete footings. Finally the 60 foot concrete deck structure was placed using a crane and approach roads were constructed and fine graded to meet the specifications.
